October is National Cider Month, and we have a full line-up of contests and giveaways to celebrate everything cider! Social Media Contests - All Month
It's a social media takeover! The Yankee Cider Co staff has taken control of the social media accounts and they are throwing down all kinds of challenges and contests throughout the month.

Make sure you follow Yankee Cider on Instagram (@yankeeciderco) as well as on Facebook, so you don't miss the chance to score some free goodies and merchandise.

Collectible Trading Cards - All Month
Throughout National Cider Month, each our our bartenders has a unique trading card available for you to collect while they're working! Collect all 7 and win a very special prize, in addition to being entered in our Grand Prize Raffle.

Each card features fun and quirky facts about the staff that helps make your cider experience at our Cider Barn complete! And our bartenders will also be posting frequently on our Yankee Cider Co social media channels throughout the month too. So if you're strategic you'll be able to fully complete your collection by making sure you like and follow us on social media!

Collect 4 cards and win a special Cider Month 2025 pin, bottle opener, and sticker

Collect all 7 cards and win the above prizes, plus a Yankee Cider Co hat and your choice of pint glass design - And an entry into the Grand Prize Raffle

Grand Prize:
The grand prize winner will be drawn from all individuals who collect all 7 cards and includes an Insulated Growler Tote, Drinktanks Steel Growler, Kegulator Accessory Kit, Frisbee, and Choice of Henley or Hoodie.

Yankee Cider reserves the right to modify these offers at any time. One prize pack per person, per set of cards. No purchase necessary to receive a trading card. Your card set must be presented in-person during normal business hours before 11/1. The Grand Prize Pack drawing will be held at 2 PM on November 2nd, 2025 - Winner need not be present. No purchase necessary to collect a card, but cards are limited to one per customer, per visit.​

Handcrafted sliders, homemade chicken tenders, golden potato wedges, and more! Each dish is thoughtfully designed to strike a balance between comfort-food goodness and elevated flavor.
This family-owned and operated food truck serves up tasty food that is perfect for pairing with a glass or two of hard cider. And when it's all for a good cause, who could resist?

Join Paws New England, Protectors of Animals and Mona’s House at Yankee Cider Company

Enjoy some amazing ciders and enjoy great food from Rustic Streats - and help us raise some much-needed funds! PAWS New England rescues abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs from high-kill shelters and desperate situations, providing them with veterinary care and much needed TLC.
$1 of all pours and 20% of bottle sales will go to help dogs in need.
There will be many wonderful, adoptable dogs on-site throughout the day for you to play with and get to know. You may even consider adopting one and filling out an application!

Halloween Candy Pairing - October 10
Get ready for a spooky-sweet evening of flavor discovery at our Hard Cider & Halloween Candy Pairing Event!
Halloween isn’t just for kids anymore—this grown-up twist combines your favorite trick-or-treat classics with the crisp, refreshing bite of locally crafted hard cider. Imagine the caramel snap of a Milky Way melting into the smooth, autumn-spiced finish of a cider, or a tart Skittle bursting alongside a bright, fruit-forward pour. Every sip and every bite unlocks a new flavor adventure you didn’t know you were missing.
Guests will enjoy a guided tasting of multiple ciders, each paired with nostalgic candies that highlight their unique notes of complements and contrasts. Tickets are limited so be sure to get your ticket before they sell out - No at-the-door ticket sales permitted.

Cider Bottle Swap - October 11
Calling all cider enthusiasts and connoisseurs! This is your chance to dust off some bottles and shake up your cider cellar. Join us for a cider swap in honor of National Cider Month with this Saturday not mixer where you'll connect with fellow passionate cider lovers.
Bring along a bottle of your favorite, or hard-to-find, or local cider to swap and share. You'll swap bottles with other enthusiasts, discovering unique flavors and varieties you won't find on just any store shelf. Any bottle format and quantity is welcome but please don't take more than you bring.

Don't miss out on this one-of-a-kind opportunity. It's time to build your perfect cider collection, one swap at a time!
​
Please remember that because ciders from any producer are welcome, that this is a swap only: State of Connecticut Regulations prohibit opening bottles of cider on-premises. No tastings or sampling on-site are allowed.

Mystery Detective Night - October 12
Get ready for a thrilling mystery puzzle challenge at Yankee Cider Co! Join us for a two-hour interactive team puzzle solving event where you will race to be the first team to solve the crime! Put your detective skills to the test as you work together to unravel the presented crime puzzle in a series of steps. This is a free event to attend, but requires advanced registration of a team of between 6 and 8 people to participate. A maximum of 4 teams are able to play. Please register 1 ticket per team of 6 or 8, and include an email address so we can contact you for additional information as needed.
The event is an in-person event and takes place at our 23 Petticoat Lane Tap Room Location. Ages 21+ only - Not suitable for minors.

Haunts w/ Joe Franke - October 17
Step into the mysterious world of the unknown with renowned paranormal expert Joe Franke as he takes you on a storied journey through the supernatural realm. Drawing from over four decades of experience, Joe will transport you back to his early days as a student of the legendary psychic researchers Ed and Lorraine Warren, sharing spine-tingling stories and firsthand encounters with ghosts, demons, poltergeists, and exorcisms. Delve into haunted places and recent spikes in paranormal phenomena as Joe unveils the haunting details of a terrifying ongoing case in Connecticut and its adverse effects on all involved. Brace yourself for an experience leaving you on the edge of your seat, questioning the delicate boundary between the living and the dead.

This event is open to the public but is recommended for ages 18 and up. It is not appropriate for young children. There are no tickets for this event; it is a free event. In the event of rain, the event will be held indoors.

Mystic Apple Festival - October 18 & 19
Crisp days and crisp apples! Stroll around the village with 50 unique shops and eateries in distinctive buildings designed to represent an 18th century New England village. Join us this October for the return of Mystic's annual Apple Festival, a fall festival celebrating everything from Fall... Apples, Hard Cider, Maple Syrup, Pumpkins, Crafts and much more!!

Harry Potter Trivia - October 24
Gather your housemates (4 to 6 per team) and step into a spellbinding, one-night-only experience designed for grown-up Harry Potter fans. Across multiple rounds of trivia, musical moments, fill-in-the-blanks, creative team challenges, and even a sprinkle of physical fun, you’ll compete with a touch of wizardry, mischief, and magical charm.
​
Whether you’re a casual reader or a walking Hogwarts library, you’ll laugh, duel with wits, and maybe even belt out yoru favorite drinking song from the Hogs Head Inn. Costumes, robes, and wands are welcome (and encouraged), and prizes await the top 3 teams!

It’s time to show your house pride — and let your Patronus shine bright!

Orchard Wassail - November 2
Celebrate the end of the harvest season and help us bless the apples for a restful winter and a bountiful new year at our November Orchard Wassail. This light-hearted ceremony is meant to promote the health of the trees and to ensure a bountiful harvest in the coming season. The day is packed with fun, apple-themed events throughout the afternoon and culminates in our Orchard Wassail at 4:00 pm.

Warm, layered, and colorful attire is recommended. This is a whimsical and fun event - Not to be taken too seriously! But even still, this event is not suitable for those under 18. Rain date of November 8th.
